Chicken satay ๐๐ข
Stay in home while eating, quenching thirst, doing assignments etc... Curfew for Gampaha to continue until 11th of May. Don't know what to do! Just after getting some free time, I think to make the most this day.
But no more things in the cuisine.How to bring & where to buy. But still there are many things can be done without more things..
So today I got a new one to experiences
quarantine dish #CHICKEN SATAY
Satay, or sate in Indonesian and Malay spelling, is a Southeast Asian dish of seasoned, skewered and grilled meat, served with a sauce. It is from Indonesia and popular in Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Brunei. It's originated in Indonesia ๐ฎ๐ฉ
Ingredients :
500g pack skinless chicken breast fillets
Lemon grass leaf
Ginger small piece
Soy sauce 1 tbsp
Curry powder 2 tbsp
vegetable oil 1 tbsp
Chilli powder 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1 tea spoon
Salt 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds 1 tea sp
Fennel seeds 1/2 tea sp
Sugar 1 tbsp
Instructions :
To make a yummy marinade first of all peel the ginger and finely grate it and tip it into a bowl. Then mix it in a bowl with the finely sliced lemon grass, soy, curry powder, salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, fennel seeds and sugar.For well mixing use pestle and mortar.Now take this mixed spices & transfer to the bowl. Cut the chicken into strips.
Then mix well chicken strips with marinade you made. In here use small amt of vegetable oil while mixing .Set aside it in refrigerator for overnight.Though I used overnight it's fine keep aside for 12 hours {but you can also use 4 hrs or more for it}
******waiting for 12 hrs******
Now take it from refrigerator. Keep aside it for few minutes.
In this time take barbecue sticks & they soaks in water. It's for avoiding effects of heating while cooking.
Afterwards take marinate chicken strips & barbecue sticks.
Take the barbecue sticks & inside them into the chicken strips as keeping some part of sticks out from chicken.
Sooo now there's another thing to do, that's it while the chicken is marinating further,
Paint the tray with oil and cook the chicken. Heat the grill to high and brush a baking tray with oil. Then line up the skewers on the tray. Grill the skewers for about 10 mins, until them get turning
Brown.Now it's better you have sauce like thing to serve them!!!
